What PromptReady Does

PromptReady is a Chrome extension that enhances prompts you type into AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek) using built-in prompting frameworks. All processing is performed locally in your browser using JavaScript. No data is ever transmitted to any external server.

We Collect Nothing

PromptReady does not collect, transmit, share, or sell any user data. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected (name, email, IP address, location)
• No prompt content is read, stored, or sent anywhere outside your device
• No browsing history, activity tracking, or keystroke logging
• No analytics, crash reports, or telemetry of any kind
• No third-party scripts, SDKs, or tracking pixels are included
• No account or login is required

What's Stored on Your Device

The extension uses Chrome's storage.local API to save your preferences and prompt history on your own device only. This includes:

• Your selected framework and intensity level
• Mode preference (manual or auto)
• Per-site enable/disable toggles
• Your prompt enhancement history (for the in-extension history panel)

This data never leaves your browser. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension or clearing Chrome extension storage.

Why We Request Certain Permissions

• storage — to save your preferences locally on your device
• activeTab — to detect which supported AI platform is active so the enhance button can appear
• scripting — to inject the enhancement UI into the AI platform's input field
• host permissions — limited to the six supported AI platforms only; required to interact with the prompt input element on each site

No Third-Party Data Sharing

PromptReady does not share, sell, transfer, or disclose any user data to third parties under any circumstances. The extension contains no third-party code, advertising networks, or external service integrations.

Children's Privacy

PromptReady does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The extension collects no personal information from any user regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in any material way, the updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
